When Simon Jacomet founded the company
in 2003, his aim was to create a ski unlike any
that has existed before; one that far transcended
mass-produced designs in quality,
materials and handling. The cost of
manufacturing and building such a ski would
be high compared to other brands, of course;
but at zai we believed that passionate skiers
would be prepared to pay more for a truly
beautiful ski that would provide years of
enjoyment and a ride of incomparable
